Story
First Outlet
Pasar Raya Borong Matahari was founded as Self-Service Wholesalers (SSW) Sdn. Bhd. on 25th Jan 1999. It had targeted a demographic of hawkers, petty traders, canteens and factories surrounding the outlet. The supermarket relocated to a new building across the road in November 2005.

2nd Outlet
In June 2008, we acquired a 4-lot adjoining supermarket in Jalan Teluk Pulai, Klang, and renamed it Pasar Raya Borong SSW (Klang) Sdn. Bhd. The outlet has now been relocated to a bigger 8 adjoining shop lot across the road in 2012
3rd Outlet
In Nov 2012, a new outlet was built and was named Matahari Mall, located in Taman Dato Harun, PJS2. It was the start of the rebranding where previous outlets would now carry the Matahari brand name along with all future projects.

Klang Utama
4th Outlet
In 2014, we acquired a shopping complex and open our 4th outlet in Klang Utama with the complex renamed to Matahari Parade.
Pandan Indah, Ampang
5th Outlet
In Jan 2016, we opened our outlet inside the Axis Fiesta Mall located in Pandan Indah, Ampang.
USJ 1, Subang Jaya
6th Outlet
We opened our first outlet in Subang Jaya at USJ 19 Mall in 2017.
Our supermarket later relocated in June 2021 and currently operating at The Edge Residences, USJ 1.
Denai Alam
7th Outlet
We opened our 7th outlet at Denai Alam in Jan 2022.
Subang Bestari U5
8th Outlet
We opened our 8th outlet at Subang Bestari U5 in May 2023.
9th Outlet
We are opening our 9th outlet at Nilai, Negeri Sembilan, our first outlet outside the Klang Valley, in May 2025.

Taman Sri Manja, PJS3
10th Outlet
We are opening our 10th outlet at Taman Sri Manja, Petaling Jaya in Q3 2025.
Future Plans
We will be opening more outlets at Puncak Alam, Bandar Tasik Puteri, Bandar Salak Tinggi and more locations in the future.
